The Pole will fight for the semi-final with the tournament's "number two", Clara Tauson. The Dane, like Magda Linette, reached the quarter-final without losing a set in the previous two meetings. In the 1/16 she defeated the Australian Kimberly Birrell, and in the 1/8 Anna Blinkowa.
This will be the second match between Magda Linette and Clara Tauson. The tennis players met in May, less than a month ago, in the first round of the Paris French Open. Back then, the Dane was on top, winning 2:1 (6:4, 4:6, 6:1) after more than two hours.
