Only 2 hours from Poland. Tourists love this seaside resort

Poland has no shortage of beautiful and wide beaches, but travelers may also be interested in the option of diversifying their vacation and relaxation beyond the western border. A well-known and well-maintained resort is Ahlbeck on Uznam Island, but there is also another island waiting to be discovered.
Beach in Germany. Which is the best? From the best beach in Poland 2025 to the best beach in Germany? Such a plan can be realized during one, longer trip this summer. According to the British "The Telegraph", the most stylish resort on the German Baltic coast is Binz, located on the island of Rugia. It included the beach in this city on the list of the 40 best beaches in Europe.
"Cut off behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War, Binz gained a new face after reunification and now attracts Germans of all ages, as well as Scandinavians, seduced by its architecture and rugged landscape," it says.
Tourists can relax on the wide, clean beach, go to the pier or take a cruise. The resort is bustling with life in the summer and will appeal to people who like to have shops and restaurants at their fingertips. Don't like crowds? On Rügen, you can also relax in the smaller towns of Sellin and Göhren. "The lush green meadows of the west coast are a paradise for hikers and birdwatchers," recommends the British daily.
Former health resort and park with fountainsAn additional asset is the old spa architecture. Binz gained the status of a spa in 1900, at the very end of the 19th century. The small Kur Park is a must-see for tourists who want to feel like they are in a previous era. Small sculptures, fountains and beautiful plants await.
It is worth adding that Rugia is the largest island belonging to Germany. It is famous for its high cliffs, which we can admire in the Jasmund National Park. Entry costs 12 euros, and the views of the chalk cliffs and the surrounding beech forests will allow you to immediately break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Binz resort is located about 160 km from Świnoujście, or a little over two hours by car. You can also get there by train from Berlin.
