Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski docked with the Copernicus Science Centre on Tuesday from the International Space Station (ISS) and continued work on experiments, the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) announced Tuesday night. The mission's goals are 87% complete.
On the 12th day of the IGNIS scientific and technical mission, Uznański-Wiśniewski joined children and young people at the Copernicus Science Centre in Warsaw.
The space station crew also continued work on EEG Neurofeedback and AstroMentalHealth experiments. EEG Neurofeedback involves examining how isolation and microgravity affect, among other things, astronauts' stress levels. The AstroMentalHealth experiment examines the impact of spaceflight on astronauts' mental state and well-being.
According to POLSA, the current status of implementation of the mission's basic objectives is 87%.
Axiom Space emphasized in its Tuesday report that over the course of 12 days, astronauts made progress in scientific research, tested new technologies and engaged in promotional activities, contributing to the mission's broader goals of space exploration and innovation on Earth.
The Polish Space Agency announced that the thirteenth day of the mission will be a day free from official activities. "Regeneration will allow the astronauts to gather strength to perform all planned activities in the following days," the report reads. (PAP)
