Scarlett Johansson is the world's highest-grossing actress. She's even surpassed Tom Cruise.

The box office success of last week's debuting adventure film "Jurassic World: Rebirth" has catapulted Scarlett Johansson to the top of the list of actors and actresses whose films have earned the most money combined, surpassing the previous leader, Samuel L. Jackson.

All films starring Scarlett Johansson have so far earned $14.85 billion at the global box office, as carefully calculated by The Numbers.

The latest film, "Jurassic World: Rebirth," has already earned $300 million just days after its release, propelling the "Black Widow" star to the top of the list of Hollywood stars whose films have earned the most money. This has displaced the previous leader, Samuel L. Jackson , whose films have grossed $14.6 billion at the box office.

The $14.85 billion total includes 36 films starring Scarlett Johansson. This averages just under $413 million per film . It's no surprise that to top the list, she had to appear in the last two "Avengers" films, "Infinity War" and "Endgame," which are among the highest-grossing films of all time.

In addition to Johansson and Jackson, the cast also includes Robert Downey Jr., Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt, who come in third, fourth and fifth respectively. Rounding out the top ten are Tom Cruise, Chris Hemsworth, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans.

Participation in Marvel films - only Cruise and Johnson did not appear in the top ten - guarantees a place on The Numbers' list. This is especially visible in the cases of Danai Gurira and Pom Klementieff, who are relatively far down the list, in 37th and 45th place.

What is impressive, however, is that per film – and in the case of both actresses, there are five of them – their average earnings are close to 1 billion 300 million and 1 billion 200 million dollars. Similarly, Benedict Wong, whose seven films have earned an average of 918 million dollars.

Johansson probably won't enjoy the top spot on the list for long. She should soon be passed by Robert Downey Jr., who will be seen in "Avengers: Doomsday" and Zoe Saldana, who will reprise her role in the third installment of "Avatar."
