Body of man with cable ties around his neck found in Pinhal Novo

A man, around 40 years old, was found dead in a house in Pinhal Novo, in Setúbal, on Tuesday.

He was stabbed in the abdomen and had plastic cable ties tied around his neck.

The alert was given yesterday at 2 pm, according to Correio da Manhã, which also adds that when rescue teams arrived at the scene the victim no longer had vital signs.

The circumstances of the man's death are being investigated and the body was transported by the Moita Fire Department to the Setúbal Morgue.

The Pinhal Novo Fire Department, INEM and GNR were operational on site.
