Inclusion, digital literacy, art and technology together to change the world

What difficulties do people with cognitive disabilities face? And how difficult is it to perform a simple task when someone lives with a physical limitation? Many people don't even think about the true importance of a simple ramp, a lower ATM or the importance of entering visual or audible codes in public places. But their absence can impose profound limitations on the lives of many. Aware of this, the MEO Foundation wanted to put technological solutions at the service of those who can benefit most from them, bringing extraordinary moments to life and opening the doors of society to those who face daily challenges.
This is how initiatives such as an inclusive film festival were born, a programme that brings together young people looking for a home and elderly people who suffer from loneliness, and the first concrete steps have been taken in creating a network that aims to bring about a transformation based on bringing technology closer to people with disabilities . What unites all of this? The desire to work on inclusion, as assumed by the MEO Foundation, knowing that digital innovation can play a central role in this.
Now, the MEO Foundation wants to give visibility not only to different perspectives on life — since only by knowing diverse views can we have a real and complete view of the world — but also to those who live and change them. Ponto de Vista is the new section of the MEO Foundation's digital platform, which will feature short and dynamic monthly interviews with "people directly or indirectly linked to the Foundation's initiatives, from accessibility users to institutional partners or community members".
"Each episode will be a window into a different reality, helping us to tell, with authenticity, the stories behind projects such as Espaços com Sentido , Partilha Casa , Cinema com Sentido , among others", explain those responsible for the MEO Foundation, assuming the objective of reinforcing "a closer, more attentive and representative Foundation".

The idea is that by weaving together many different perspectives, we can contribute to a more comprehensive vision of issues such as inclusion, digital literacy, art and technology. "The project's visual identity is based on the image of a fingerprint: a symbol of each person's individuality, but also of the interconnection that gives meaning to the collective, a clear metaphor for the diversity we want to represent."
Ponto de Vista is scheduled to premiere on June 23rd and the episodes of this new videocast from the MEO Foundation will always be published on the Foundation's social networks , aiming to be a bridge between different realities, "a strategic contribution to the construction of a more human brand, attentive and aligned with contemporary social challenges".
