Investigation validated 45 of the 83 complaints filed against the presenter.

THE BBC has terminated its 20-year contract with the presenter of the BBC version. British contestant on 'Masterchef', Gregg Wallace, after they were validated the complaints of dozens of women who came forward to accuse the presenter of having sexually harassed them and of having behaved inappropriate during the recording of the program. The complaints refer to facts that may have happened between 2005 and 2018, with a single complaint being after that date. Following the accusations, the British public broadcaster commissioned an independent investigation, conducted by the law firm Lewis Silkin, who, after interviewing 78 witnesses and viewing the unedited recordings of the program, validated 45 complaints out of the 83 presented.

THE investigation, which took seven months, concluded that Gregg Wallace, 60, made racist comments and sexually charged jokes, frequently interacting with competitors and team members in a way that made others “uncomfortable” or even “offended”. Several women accuse the presenter of groping them or touched in intimate areas, while others claim that he presented himself half-naked in the recordings.

Gregg Wallace began by “completely” denying the accusations, attributing them to “women of a certain age.” The firm that investigated him – and published the results this Monday – also found that the presenter was diagnosed with autism, but in the meantime groups that work with people with disabilities have already come forward say that in no way can their inappropriate behavior be explained for such a diagnosis.

To the knowing the results of the investigation, Gregg Wallace apologized and assured that he “never wanted to humiliate or offend anyone,” but he will not return to the BBC. UK public broadcaster doesn't know what to do with the final season, already recorded, from 'Masterchef', still with the controversial presenter.
