Mira: Tribute praised the value and contribution of municipal human resources

"Human resources are the most valuable thing in any institution." These words were spoken yesterday by Mira's mayor, Artur Fresco, during a ceremony recognizing the dedication of municipal employees with 15, 25, and 35 years of service to the Mira City Council (CMM), as well as municipal workers who retired between June 2024 and June 2025.
In total, 17 distinctions were awarded, six to retired employees and 11 to current employees, with 15 and 25 years of service (four of the honorees were not present).
Through a “fair and deserved tribute”, highlighted the mayor, the Municipality of Mira decided to celebrate, at the São Tomé Festival venue (Jardim do Visconde), the “trajectory of people who dedicated a large part of their lives to public service, with availability, commitment and ethics for what they did, for what they do and continue to do”, praised Artur Fresco.
Remembering those who served the municipality but have since passed away, the mayor of Mira emphasized that "many are excellent role models." Honoring those who have passed away also means "recognizing their value" and keeping those who are no longer present "in our memory."
