Six arrested by PSP

In a statement, this security force indicates that there were five arrests for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and one arrest for the crime of driving a motor vehicle without a legal license.
In terms of road inspections, several operations were carried out and several drivers were subjected to breathalyzer tests. During the same period, with regard to road accidents, “11 road accidents were recorded, resulting in one minor injury”.
In the note sent to VTM, the PSP emphasizes that during the City Festivities “it will intensify its presence in public life”, reinforcing visibility and the ability to prevent incidents, in order to increase the “citizens’ feeling of security”.
The PSP also asks people, with regard to crime, to “report all crimes of which they are aware, whether as a victim or as a witness”, stating that “the faster the report, the quicker steps will be taken to identify the perpetrators of the crimes”.
At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and local journalism. Access to most of VTM's news is (still) free, but it is not free of charge. Journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our contribution is independent and local journalism, but not only that. It is continuing to inform despite all the contingencies of confinement, without having stopped for a single day.
