Family consumption intention grows by 0.5% and generates sales opportunities for small businesses

More cash on hand, better access to credit and increased revenue for small businesses. This is the expectation based on the results of the Household Consumption Intention (ICF) survey, prepared by the National Confederation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC). In June, the index rose 0.5% compared to the previous month. For Sebrae, the news serves as a barometer for greater acquisition of goods and services.
It is a fact that the Brazilian economy is growing again. We have made progress in several areas, and the first of these was restoring employment. We have already overcome some of the short-term problems: we have resumed growth and reduced unemployment. Income transfers are already boosting the country's economy. This promotes more opportunities and inclusion.
Decio Lima, president of Sebrae.
According to the survey, access to credit increased by 2.5% – this is the fifth consecutive monthly increase in this indicator. According to the study, 32.6% of consumers perceive it as easier to obtain credit, the highest peak since April 2020. “Greater confidence reduces pessimism and can stimulate the use of credit, increasing purchasing power even in the face of inflation that is still present, but controlled,” explains the president.
Tips
To ensure greater revenue, Sebrae points out strategies that can help small businesses, such as investing in personalized service and customer experience, expanding the mix of products and services, efficiently managing cash flow, and taking advantage of digital channels to expand reach.
