António José Teixeira leaves RTP's information department

Journalist António José Teixeira will leave his position as information director at RTP, which he has held since the beginning of 2020. The news was announced by Correio da Manhã this Tuesday and confirmed by Observador.

The decision was taken by the management of Portuguese public television as part of a restructuring of RTP's information management and was communicated to the Independent General Council this Monday, the newspaper writes. The new model should include a new management that combines the management of radio and television information programmes.

Correio da Manhã also reports that António José Teixeira has not been present in the RTP newsroom. In recent days, the channel's news management has been handed over to deputy director Adília Godinho.
