Abel Ferreira regrets Chelsea's second goal against Palmeiras: 'We feel pride and sadness'

Pride and sadness. These were the feelings of coach Abel Ferreira , after Palmeiras ' elimination from the Club World Cup, with the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, this Thursday, in Philadelphia, in the quarterfinals.

"There are two feelings: pride and sadness. The team fought until the end, but our opponent was better. The way the second goal was scored makes us sad," said the Portuguese coach on the pitch.

Abel admitted that he had to make adjustments to the team for the second half. "We didn't have a good first half, but with the changes we managed to equalize, but we didn't score the second goal."

Near the 20th minute, Abel brought on Paulinho, who had been decisive in the qualification against Botafogo . The player made a great play on the left in the final minutes, but the shot went close to the left post of the English team's goal.
