Landowners are asked to prepare for the fire season

Forestries in the Moscow region are asking owners of land plots bordering the forest to begin preparing for the fire season. The regional Forestry Committee reports.

As the regional department explains, there are over 12 thousand land plots in the Moscow region near forest resources. Their owners must now take care of fire safety arrangements.

Forestries send notification letters to owners about this. Before the fire season, specialists will inspect such areas near forests. According to the rules, areas must be cleared of dry grass and deadwood on a strip at least 10 m from the forest edge. An option with a firebreak or barrier is possible.
