Painted Casket with Fairy Tales: Unique Exposition to Open in Novgorod Kremlin

This Tuesday, June 10, the Novgorod Museum-Reserve will open the exhibition "Spinning Wheel Paintings of the Novgorod Region". The exposition will be presented in the very "heart" of Veliky Novgorod - in the Kremlin, in the Children's Museum Center. Here will be presented chests, boxes, tues, trays, stands, panels, created based on traditional patterns of different villages of the Novgorod region in the late 19th century.

The author of the works is Yulia Poluyanova, a master, teacher and researcher who has devoted years to studying the decorative painting of her region. The exhibition will be complemented by authentic Novgorod spinning wheels and items of peasant life from the collections of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve. The opening will take place at 16:00.
