From August 1, pensions for working pensioners will be increased, said Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy, and Veterans' Affairs. She named the nearest date for indexation of payments in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
"Starting October 1 of this year, pensions for military pensioners and pensioners of security forces will be increased by 4.5 percent. In the current period, starting August 1, pensions for working pensioners will be increased once again by the points they received for the previous 2024 year. Pensioners can receive up to 3 IPC points," Bessarab said.
Earlier, the dean of the HSE Faculty of Law, Vadim Vinogradov, said that from June 1, Russians will receive a higher pension upon reaching 80 years of age. In addition, according to him, the payment will increase for those who are determined to have a first-group disability.
Vinogradov noted that these categories of Russians will be awarded a double fixed payment to their insurance pension. The monthly increase for them will be 8,728 rubles 73 kopecks, and the supplement for caring for pensioners will be 1,314 rubles. The specialist specified that the total amount of the increase, subject to registration of care for a pensioner, will be 10,042 rubles 73 kopecks monthly.
