Former Kuzbass Health Minister Beglov Arrested for Large Bribe

In the Kemerovo Region, Dmitry Belgov, who resigned from his post as the region's Minister of Health several days ago, was detained on suspicion of accepting a large bribe. The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the former official is currently being decided, TASS reports, citing the Central District Court of the region.

“The court hearing to select a preventive measure is scheduled for 12:00,” the statement said.

Earlier, the head of Medtrade-SRC LLC, who is accused of giving a bribe to Beglov, was placed under house arrest. The latter, according to investigators, received illegal remuneration for concluding government contracts for the supply of medical equipment, as well as general patronage.

Beglov received the post of Minister of Health of Kuzbass in the spring of 2022. On June 6, 2025, he wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will.

Earlier, MK wrote that the head of the capital construction department of Buryatia was detained on suspicion of abuse of power during the reconstruction of the Ulger theater.
