In Germany, 86-year-old Nina Duke announced the birth of her 100th great-grandchild.
A photograph of a woman with the youngest member of her family is published by the Bild newspaper.
The boy was born in a clinic in the city of Gera. The child was born to Nina's 31-year-old granddaughter, who is raising seven children with her husband. The young woman, like her mother and aunts, lives in the Thuringia region.
As the owner of eight children, fifty-three grandchildren and now hundreds of great-grandchildren, she moved to Germany several weeks ago. The woman spent most of her life in Kazakhstan. At present, according to the elderly lady, she can no longer remain alone, so her daughters, who many years ago returned to their family's historical homeland - Nina's mother was born in Brandenburg, when the territory was part of Prussia - surrounded her with care.
Nina herself was born in Siberia. Her family later moved to Ukraine, and from there, in 1958, to Kazakhstan, where she spent most of her life.
