Since April 1, the average amount of pension payments in Russia has increased. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing statistics from the country's Social Fund.

“On January 1, it was lower and amounted to 23,175 rubles per month,” the news agency noted.

As RIA Novosti pointed out, the average indicator of this category of social payments in the country has now increased by 273 rubles. Currently, pensions are accrued to about 40.9 million Russians.
