Incorrect pest control in summer cottages and garden plots using chemicals can result in fines of up to 20 thousand rubles.
As lawyers explained in comments for RIA Novosti, the law does not prohibit gardeners from independently combating pests. However, it is permissible to use only those preparations that are officially approved for use in private farmsteads. It is extremely important to strictly follow the attached instructions. Neglect of these rules threatens a fine of up to two thousand rubles.
Failure to comply with sanitary standards and safety rules when working with agrochemicals may be regarded as degradation of the soil cover. A fine of three to five thousand rubles is established for such a violation.
More severe sanctions are applied if the territory is treated near sanitary protection zones of objects that serve as sources of drinking and domestic water, including areas around wells or boreholes. In such circumstances, the fine can reach twenty thousand rubles.
