Vnukovo Airport, citing Turkish Airlines, explained that some of the baggage was not delivered from Istanbul to Moscow due to restrictions on the maximum takeoff weight of aircraft. To ensure maximum refueling, some of the baggage had to be removed from flights.

"According to the air carrier, the delay of baggage from flights TK1231, TK3152, TK3024 and TK3140, which arrived from Antalya to Vnukovo on June 14, is due to restrictions on the takeoff weight of the aircraft. In order to fully refuel, the baggage was forcibly removed: from TK1231 - 25 pieces, from TK3152 - 129 pieces, from TK3024 - 149 pieces, from TK3140 - 57 pieces. In fact, 219 applications for 329 pieces of baggage were registered from Antalya," the airport press service reported.

The unloaded baggage was sent on a flight to Istanbul, where it is now. It will be delivered to Vnukovo in parts on the next flights.

"Turkish Airlines baggage forwarding plan for 14.06.2025: flight TK411 (23:05), TK421 (01:10), TK419 (04:55)," the information states.

Additional shipments are planned for Sunday: flight TK413 (arrival at 11:00 Moscow time), TK417 (13:00 Moscow time) and TK415 (17:55 Moscow time). If necessary, the remainder will be delivered by flight TK4917 at 22:25 Moscow time.

Earlier, Rosaviatsia reported that it was working with the Russian Ministry of Transport to determine the reasons for the shortfall in Turkish Airlines baggage delivery on a number of flights between Antalya and Vnukovo.
