A doctor at the regional children's hospital spoke about a natural method of recovery for young patients

One of the effective tools for treating a number of diseases, in addition to drug therapy, today is physiotherapy. This method of improving health helps to avoid serious - and sometimes not without side effects - interventions. This is the opinion of Anastasia Talavyrya, a physiotherapist at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital in Veliky Novgorod.
Today, when the word "physiotherapy" is mentioned, many people think of various physical factors, such as heat, cold, electric current, magnetic UV and IR radiation. Some will also remember massages and the use of therapeutic mud.
The main indications for various methods are, as a rule, pain syndrome, limited mobility, functional disorders, disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, pathologies of the nervous system, inflammatory processes outside the acute stage, psychosomatic disorders, and others.
Experts emphasize that it is difficult to achieve a complete cure with physiotherapy alone – this method is effective only in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, a comprehensive approach and thorough diagnostics are always important.
"The body is capable of coping with many problems on its own. And exercises and physical therapy prevent many complications and help to recover," notes Anastasia TALAVYRYA.
The doctor graduated from Yaroslav Mudry Novgorod State University with a degree in General Medicine, completed a residency in therapy and became a qualified therapist. However, she did not stop there and underwent retraining in physiotherapy. At first, she worked at the Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adolescents, helping young patients return to an active life.
Today Anastasia Talavyrya works in the physiotherapy department of the regional children's hospital.
