Benoit Groulx commented on the absence of goalkeeper Mylnikov.

Chelyabinsk Traktor head coach Beuna Gro explained why he didn't even name goalkeeper Sergei Mylnikov for the match against Avtomobilist.
As a reminder, Traktor lost this match in a shootout, with Chris Drigger defending the Chelyabinsk team's goal.
Explaining why Chelmet's Saveliy Sherstenev, rather than Sergei Mylnikov, was listed as the second goalkeeper on the roster, Beuna Gro stated that Mylnikov was injured. "Unfortunately, every time he starts to do well, he gets injured," the Black and Whites' coach said. "He suffered a minor injury during a game, and the next day during training, he realized it was more serious."
Benoit Groux believes that Sherstenev was named the second goaltender in part due to logistical circumstances. "We discussed that Saveliy was currently available and could be promoted to Traktor," says the Canadian specialist. "The plan was to use Chris in goal and have a backup for this match. Today, it was Sherstenev. Chelmet is currently on the road. Of course, we'd like to have our best goalies with us. But sometimes, due to logistical issues, that's not always feasible."
