Joint call for Palestine from world-renowned artists

As London, the capital of England, hosted the largest charity concert ever held for Gaza this evening, many world-famous figures released a joint video message ahead of the "Together for Palestine" concert, calling for a ceasefire for Palestine and an end to the massacre.

American pop star Billie Eilish, Cillian Murphy, who gained international fame with his roles in the TV series Peaky Blinders and Oppenheimer, Joaquin Phoenix, known for his role as the Joker, Oscar-winning Spanish actors Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, legendary names of the music world Peter Gabriel and Paul Weller, and Nobel Prize-winning activist Malala Yousafza were among the celebrities featured in the video.

In the video, young star Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas used the phrase "Together for Palestine." Scottish actor Brian Cox said in his video message, "We must speak the truth for the Palestinian people," while American photographer and activist Nan Goldin said, "The role of the artist has always been to speak the truth and to take the risk of speaking out against the truth."

"We know that the leaders of this country are complicit in the mass murder of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank," said children's author Michael Wayne Rosen.

British comedian, actor, film producer and director Steve Coogan said, "It's important to talk now, not after everything has happened. Right now, while it's happening. Put pressure on your government, call for a ceasefire, stop the killings."

It was announced that the proceeds from the "Together for Palestine" concert will be donated to Palestinian humanitarian organizations.
