The Turkish National Team maintained its place in the FIFA rankings

Continuing its competition in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, the Turkish National Football Team ranked 27th with 1,555 points in the September world rankings announced by FIFA.

Spain, one of the national team's opponents in Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, rose to first place with 1,875 points, while Georgia dropped one place to 68th with 1,377 points. Bulgaria, with 1,271 points, dropped two places to 86th.

Several changes have occurred in the top five places of the September rankings published on FIFA's website. Spain, rising to first place, is followed by France, who rose one place with 1,870 points. Previous leaders Argentina dropped two places to third. England, with 1,820 points, remains in fourth place, while Portugal, with 1,779 points, has moved up to fifth place, surpassing Brazil. The next FIFA world rankings will be released on October 23, 2025.
