This week in Istanbul: Many events will meet art lovers...

A wide range of concerts, exhibitions and theater plays will be presented to art lovers in Istanbul this week.
The Bolshoi Ballet and Orchestra will perform "Romeo and Juliet" at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) on September 26-27.
The theater play "Les Misérables" will meet the audience at the AKM on September 28.
The play "Aydınlıkevler" will be staged tomorrow at Maximum Uniq Open Air.
The performance "Masonn (Walls)" will be presented to theatergoers on September 25th at Zorlu PSM, and the plays "Güne Bakan Cam Kırıkları" (Gun-Looking Glass Broken) and "Miser" will be presented on September 28th.
The play "Valse, Valse, Valse" can be seen at ENKA Sanat on September 24.
THIS WEEK'S CONCERTSBarry Can't Swim will perform at Zorlu PSM on September 26th, and German band Blind Guardian will perform on September 27th.
As part of the "35th Akbank Jazz Festival," Nilüfer Verdi Trio "Playing Tunes for Peace" and "İlhan Erşahin's Istanbul Sessions" will take place on September 27th, while Maya Perest and Kind of Six will perform on September 28th.
Italian band Cosimo And The Hot Coals will give a concert at Babylon on September 28.
At the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage, Alireza Ghorbani will perform today , "Mario Frangoulis: So in Love" tomorrow, "Candan Erçetin 30th Year Concert" on September 24-25, Erol Evgin on September 26, "Dire Straits Legacy" on September 27, and "Gipsy Kings by Andre Reyes" on September 28.
Cengiz Kurtoğlu will be on stage at Masal Ataşehir on September 26th, and Bülent Ersoy on September 27th.
The "TRT Istanbul Radio Light Music and Jazz Orchestra" concert will be held at the AKM on September 24, Levent Yüksel on September 27, and Ceza on September 28.
EXHIBITIONS TO BE HELDThe exhibition "One and Many," organized by Cemal Toy Workshop and the artist's association, Birlikte Sanat, with support from the Fatih Municipality, opened at the Nusret Çolpan Art Gallery. Curated by Ayşegül Ekin Odabaşı, the exhibition brings together the artists' watercolor, oil, mixed media, photography, charcoal, and fabric works.
The Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum's new exhibition, "Side by Side," opened to art lovers. The exhibition will close on July 10, 2026.
The second chapter of the story of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSGSÜ), Turkey's first fine arts school, is explored in an exhibition titled "Academy Time." Following the first exhibition , "Representation and Memory: 1882-1948," which opened last year at the Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture, the second installment, "Academy Time," also opened at the Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture.
In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, the "Japanese Ceramics from the Idemitsu Art Museum Collection" exhibition was presented to art lovers at the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum in Sultanahmet.
The " Kindness for Gaza" exhibition, featuring historical documents and works of art, was opened in Dolmabahçe in partnership with the Presidency of National Palaces and the Turkish Red Crescent to support those in need in Gaza.
The "Robert Capa - Truth is the Best Photography" exhibition, featuring photographs by photographer Robert Capa, can be seen at the Ara Güler Museum at Yapı Kredi Bomontiada. The exhibition will be open until March 22, 2026.
The exhibitions "Common Emotions: Works from the British Council Collection" and "A Line Written with Earth, Fire, Water and Air" prepared by the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum were presented to the public.
American artist and educator Suzanne Lacy's first solo exhibition in Turkey , "Birlikte/Togæther", met with the audience at Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum.
Nilbar Güreş's exhibition "Velvet Gaze" can be visited on Arter's 2nd floor gallery.
The "With the Same Spirit Since Hezarfen" exhibition, opened on the third floor of the Galata Tower, which hosts historical exhibitions and cultural events in line with the museum vision of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will be open to visitors until October 1.
The "Istanbul's Bright 100" exhibition will continue at the Istanbul Bilgi University Santralistanbul Campus Energy Museum until November 21.
