Gram gold price exceeded 5,500 lira for the first time

Gram gold broke a record by reaching 5,501 lira.

The renewed trade tension between the US and China and expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will cut interest rates have led investors to safe havens.

Gold prices rose to a record level on the first trading day of the week.

Continuing its rise, gold reached an all-time high of $4,093 (approximately 171,096 lira) per ounce.

Following the gold price fluctuations in the US, the price of gold per gram in Türkiye broke records again. The price per gram reached a new high of 5,501 lira.

The price of standard gold per kilogram on the Borsa Istanbul Precious Metals and Precious Stones Market (KMKTP) rose to 5 million 670 thousand liras at the end of the first trading day of the week.

The price of gold per kilogram closed yesterday at 5 million 580 thousand lira.
