When is the 2026 minimum wage meeting? Countdown to the Minimum Wage Determination Commission's raise meeting
Minimum wage negotiations for 2026 are expected to begin in the first week of December 2025. As in previous years, the commission's first meeting is typically hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security between December 1st and 5th. This is followed by three rounds of negotiations hosted by worker and employer representatives at TÜRK-İŞ and TİSK headquarters, respectively. Following these meetings, the final decision is announced in the last week of the year, typically between December 20th and 30th. Accordingly, the 2026 minimum wage increase is expected to be officially announced in the final days of December 2025.
The new minimum wage, which the Commission will announce in December, will come into force on January 1, 2026, as it does every year.
