Breaking news! Historic day at the Turkish Grand National Assembly! Gaza motion approved in Parliament | Details of the Gaza motion revealed

The presidential motion condemning Israel 's attacks was accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly , which convened an extraordinary meeting to discuss Gaza . All parties in the Parliament voted yes to the motion accepted in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
With the motion of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker, all national parliaments were invited to end their military and commercial relations with Israel and to take action to break the embargo on Palestine.
"UNLESS THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT GIVES UP ITS GENOCIDE POLICIES..."The Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker's motion stated, "We call for the suspension of the Israeli government's membership in the UN and international organizations until it abandons its genocidal policies."
The Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) held an extraordinary meeting to address Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people. The General Assembly unanimously approved the Speaker's Motion regarding Israel's decision to expand its occupation of Gaza and the genocide it is committing against the Palestinian people. Signed by Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, the motion included the following statements:
Israel has escalated its decades-long policies of occupation, destruction, and annexation against the Palestinian people into a genocide, particularly in Gaza, over the past two years. Israel's policies of genocide, famine, and hunger have claimed tens of thousands of lives. The UN and other international organizations have also stated that the genocidal Netanyahu government is deliberately condemning the people of Gaza to hunger and starvation. Having decided to expand its occupation of Gaza and continuing its massacres and oppression, Israel has killed nearly 70,000 people, the vast majority of whom were women and children, injured more than 150,000, and destroyed the region's civilian infrastructure in the last two years. Palestinian women, children, youth, and the elderly have been condemned to a prison of death and starvation by genocidal Israeli forces. Not content with these brutal acts, Netanyahu and his gang have taken their efforts to destroy Palestinians to the next level and have reached the stage of implementing a policy of annexing all Palestinian settlements, including Gaza.
CALL TO RECOGNIZE PALESTINE AND BOYCOT ISRAELIsrael has escalated its violence against Palestinians through its occupying forces and illegal settlers in Jerusalem and the West Bank, accelerating its land occupation, illegal demolitions, and illegal settlement construction. Unfortunately, no global institution other than the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court has taken any action to halt the Israeli government's unlawful decisions and massacres. The rising voice of humanity across almost every inch of the globe has recently forced governments that remained silent or supported this oppression to stand with the Palestinian people. The silver lining to this dark picture is that some states that previously remained silent or supported Israel have implemented resolutions to recognize Palestine and boycott Israel.
The current state of affairs is a great achievement for the conscience of humanity. Today, we, the Turkish Grand National Assembly, gather here to convey our proposals and call to the world's parliaments for solidarity with the Palestinian people and the cessation of Israel's rule. We hope that the world's parliaments, who will join us in raising the voice and conscience of humanity, will join us in this call and take action together. As the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, we condemn in the strongest possible terms the occupation, destruction, and annexation to which the Palestinian people have been subjected by Israel for decades. We emphasize that the massacres against the Palestinian people, and most recently the use of famine in Gaza as a weapon of destruction, constitute genocide. We call on the international community to exert greater efforts to compel Israel to accept a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, withdraw its armed forces from the region, and ensure uninterrupted humanitarian access to Gaza.
We condemn illegal settlement activities in Jerusalem and the West Bank and the violence against the Palestinian people. We call for those who commit genocide and colonial crimes in Palestinian territories to be held accountable in court. We affirm that the establishment of a geographically unified, independent, and sovereign State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders is the only way to achieve just and lasting peace. We emphasize that the attacks and provocations carried out by the Zionist regime against Muslim holy sites, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque, must be stopped. We call for the suspension of the Israeli government's membership in the UN and international organizations until it abandons its genocidal policies.
We invite all parliaments to end all military and commercial relations with Israel, to take urgent action to break the embargo imposed on the Palestinian people, to reject and condemn Israel's genocidal and colonial policies in the occupied Palestinian territories, to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, to protect the two-state solution perspective, and to call on countries that do not recognize the State of Palestine to recognize Palestine, and to join the 'Parliamentary Group Supporting Palestine' established under the leadership of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in Istanbul on April 18, 2025. In this context, I hereby submit to the approval of the General Assembly the adoption of this declaration by vote and the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette.
