We are waiting to judge

The CHP Central Executive Committee convened under the chairmanship of CHP leader Özgür Özel. The meeting addressed the Israel-Gaza ceasefire and foreign policy developments, as well as ongoing provincial congresses and party program developments.
It was learned that the CHP's provincial congresses will conclude the week of October 20th. CHP headquarters, which has decided to continue with its current provincial chairs in Ankara and Istanbul , reportedly does not foresee any changes in Izmir. CHP officials noted that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel also wanted the re-candidacy of Şenol Aslanoğlu, the arrested CHP İzmir Provincial Chair, and asked, "This could be interpreted as loyalty and support. Why should we hand over our colleagues to the courts?"
Recalling the case against the 38th Ordinary Congress to be heard on October 24, CHP members emphasized that the provincial congresses would be concluded before the case. It was noted that after the congresses concluded, the Party Assembly would convene and a congressional decision would be made. CHP members predicted that the 39th Ordinary Congress would be held at the end of November.
PREPARATION OF THE INDICTMENTAnother important item on the CHP Central Executive Committee's agenda was the preparation of an indictment against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu. CHP sources stated that the "Aziz İhsan Aktaş criminal organization" indictment is expected to be released first, commenting, "They will launch a campaign of public perception targeting district municipalities using this indictment. Then they will follow it up with a second indictment against Ekrem. There's also an indictment alleging terrorism."
CHP headquarters, anticipating the announcement of the indictment against İmamoğlu in early November, is preparing to counter the government's campaign to manipulate public perception. It is anticipated that even the smallest piece of information or document in the indictment will be exaggerated and manipulated.
A unit comprised of legal experts has been established to conduct preparations for this campaign. It was stated that the CHP's communications team, along with the legal experts, will also be preparing to counter the allegations. It was also stated that a similar "Lies-Truths" bulletin, prepared after the accusations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, will be prepared following the İmamoğlu indictment.
It was stated that neighborhood representatives would also be used to publicize the study, which addresses the accusations in the indictment. CHP members explained that the over 50,000 neighborhood representatives designated for fieldwork would "go door to door to provide accurate information to the public," and conveyed the message, "We will be prepared to face any accusations."
