The search for Yunus Kerici, a shepherd living in the Kocataş village of Ağrı province, who has been missing since September 1, continued today.
The underwater search and rescue team affiliated with the Van Provincial Gendarmerie Command also supported the search efforts, which were carried out by the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate (AFAD), gendarmerie teams and detector dogs.

Following interviews, it was determined that our child was last seen grazing animals in the pasture, that the animals and horse had returned home, and that his horse was completely wet. Therefore, our Provincial Gendarmerie Command, AFAD, and UMKE teams immediately launched a search. As a result of the work conducted by our underwater search teams, the lifeless body of our missing child was unfortunately found. We are deeply saddened by the passing of our little child. We offer our condolences and prayers for patience to his family, relatives, and all those who loved him.
