Russia Offers S-400 Maintenance to Türkiye

Dmitry Shugayev, Director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, announced that they are ready to provide maintenance support for the S-400 air defense missile systems in Türkiye's inventory.
Speaking at a press briefing in Moscow, Shugaev recalled the $2.5 billion contract signed by Russia and Türkiye in 2017, saying, "We have a long history with the Turks regarding the S-400. This system needs maintenance. Naturally, we propose comprehensive maintenance services for the system they currently have."
Shugayev noted that a certain period of time has passed since the delivery, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the system in combat readiness and emphasizing that this is a “basic maintenance requirement.”
Shugayev also added that they are ready to discuss not only air defense but also other areas of military-technical cooperation with Ankara.
