Radeon AI PRO R9700: AMD launches a new professional GPU focused on artificial intelligence workloads

AMD expanded its portfolio of professional solutions with the launch of the Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics card, unveiled at Computex 2025.
This new GPU, based on the AMD RDNA 4 architecture, is specifically designed for work environments that require local AI processing, such as inference and model tuning, as well as real-time rendering and complex simulations.
The Radeon AI PRO R9700 integrates 64 compute units, 32 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 256-bit memory interface, with 64 MB of Infinity Cache.

Its gaming frequency reaches 2.35 GHz and can reach up to 2.92 GHz in boost mode. The card has a power consumption (TBP) of 300W, suitable for high-performance workstations.
Thanks to its second-generation AI accelerators, the R9700 offers up to twice the performance compared to its predecessor.
It also supports the ROCm software stack on Linux, and will soon support Windows, enabling greater flexibility and control for developers and researchers who need to run workloads directly on the device, without having to rely on the cloud.
Additionally, the card can be efficiently integrated into multi-GPU configurations, expanding computing power and available memory for parallel tasks and large model processing. It is expected to be available starting July 2025 through industry-leading manufacturers and integrators.
