Revenue Agency Competition 2025: What You Need to Know

The new call for applications for the hiring of 2,700 permanent legal and tax officials was published on July 11, 2025. Candidates will be responsible for activities related to tax audits and services. Applications must be submitted online through the InPA portal, authenticating with SPID, CIE, CNS, or eIDAS, by 11:59 PM on August 11, 2025 .

To participate, you must have a degree in law or economics , as specified in the announcement, including those obtained abroad, provided they are recognized as equivalent (or have already been recognized). General requirements for access to public employment are also required, including Italian citizenship, physical fitness, and the absence of any impediments.

Each candidate must choose a single location , among the central, regional, or provincial ones, with places distributed throughout the country (for example: 555 in Lombardy, 463 in Lazio – of which 170 at the central offices – and 222 in Campania). A personal certified email address is required, as is a €10 participation fee, which is refundable if you take the test.

Revenue Agency Competition 2025: Written Test, Rankings, and Hiring Procedures

The selection process consists of a single written test with multiple-choice questions on subjects such as tax law, civil law, administrative law, and corporate accounting, as well as questions in English and basic IT. A pass grade of at least 21/30 is considered a pass. Details on the test schedule will be published on September 9, 2025, on the Agency's website and on InPA.

The successful candidates will be hired on a permanent basis in the Civil Servants Area, with a salary differential of D0, and must remain in their assigned location for at least five years. Of the 2,700 positions available, 555 will be assigned to the Lombardy Regional Directorate, 463 to the Lazio Regional Directorate and the central offices, and 222 to the Campania Regional Directorate. The Puglia and Sicily Regional Directorates will follow, each with 165 new hires, while Emilia-Romagna will welcome 160 new hires.

The ranking will be published as legally binding. Reservations and preferences are permitted, but only if declared in the application.
