Large-scale retail trade: July begins with progress

Between June 30th and July 6th, Italian modern distribution recorded a +3.81% increase compared to the same period in 2024. NielsenIQ data certify the ninth consecutive increase for national large-scale distribution .

Specifically, the South (Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, and Sicily) and Central Italy (Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Lazio, and Sardinia) are the two macro-regions that recorded the best results, closing the week with +4.31% and +4.20% respectively. The northern regions saw less significant gains: the Northeast (Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia) recorded +3.66% , while the Northwest (Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta, Liguria, and Lombardy) +3.32% .

The annual progressive figure is increasing from +3.15% last week to +3.18% .
