The 4th Blue Forum concludes, highlighting sustainable challenges and a strategic vision to enhance our seas.

Over the course of the three days of work , the Summit represented a turning point for the construction of a unitary, systemic and proactive vision of the Italian Blue Economy, highlighting the urgency of developing concrete and coordinated strategies in view of the new national maritime planning 2026–2028.
With the input of key national and European institutions, including Italian Government Ministers and the highest officials of the European Parliament and Commission, the Forum reiterated the need for clear governance , based on regulatory simplification, investment support, innovation incentives, and the valorization of human capital.
The numbers illustrated in the XIII National Report on the Maritime Economy, edited by the National Observatory Ossermare, Unioncamere, Tagliacarne, and Blue Forum Italia Network, confirm the sector's centrality: 232,841 companies, over 1 million employees, and an overall added value equal to 11.3% of national GDP. This performance demonstrates not only the economic strength of the sector, but also its ability to drive development in local areas, particularly in Southern Italy.
" We must recognize the sea's strategic role in Italy's future," said Giovanni Acampora, President of Assonautica Italiana, Si.Camera, and the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce. " The Summit has laid the foundation for a shared agenda that goes beyond theory and is capable of mobilizing resources, expertise, and structural reforms to foster a truly competitive blue economy."
