Government and political polls: a mixed bag of lights and shadows for Giorgia Meloni and the Brothers of Italy.

The Italian political landscape continues to be marked by a delicate balance between expectations and uncertainties. Giorgia Meloni and the Brothers of Italy (FdI) , key players in the government, are currently faced with a complex situation: on the one hand, political polls are offering signs of consensus, confirming a solid base of supporters; on the other, concerns are emerging related to internal challenges and difficulties in managing government policies.
This mix of hopes and challenges represents a significant challenge for Meloni and her party, who must maintain a balance between implementing their political program and earning voters' trust.
A thousand days of Meloni's government: ministers and measures amidst consensus and criticism. In assessing the first thousand days of Meloni's government, Matteo Salvini emerges as the least popular minister , garnering the highest number of negative ratings (42%) from both majority and opposition voters, even though among League voters themselves, he isn't considered the worst member of the government. Among the most popular ministers are the Prime Minister (41%), Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani (16%), and, above all, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, considered the government's best representative by the majority of opposition voters, with 18% of spontaneous votes and 38% of those who expressed an opinion.
Daniela Santanchè, Minister of Tourism, is the only figure who receives strong negative reviews, with only 11% positive ratings and 66% negative ones, including 51% of center-right voters who reject her. Among the other ministers, the most favorable ratings go to Defense Minister Guido Crosetto (33% positive versus 39% negative) and again to Giorgetti (33% positive, 35% negative), figures higher than those recorded for Meloni (34% positive and 55% negative) and Tajani (30% positive, 48% negative).
In terms of measures adopted , the tightening of anti -femicide laws is the most supported measure (38%), although among center-right voters it ranks only fourth (34%), surpassed by the elimination of the basic income , which is highly appreciated in general (29%) and particularly loved by the center-right (51%), but strongly contested by the opposition (33%), with particularly vocal opposition from the Five Star Movement (43%). This is followed by the tightening of immigration rules (41%) and those on occupations and public demonstrations (35%). Among the least popular measures, the Strait of Messina Bridge project is the most criticized (36%), while the Security Bill generates strong divisions among voters, resulting in it being the second most opposed measure by the opposition (50%), with peaks of 60% in the Democratic Party and 63% in the AVS, where it is the most contested measure overall.
Giorgia Meloni continues to be the political leader in whom Italians have the greatest trust, but at the same time support for the government is declining. This is according to a survey conducted by the YouTrend institute for Sky TG24, published today, Wednesday, July 16.
