Bari without fixed points: here is the time to choose for another revolution

Fourteen players on loan. Yet Bari will almost certainly be a spectator at the first deadline of the 2025 transfer market. In fact, the option rights on temporary transfers that include them must be exercised by today: an opportunity that, at least on paper, should have been of close concern to the red and white club, given the amount of players potentially negotiable to try to avoid a new revolution. Last year the opportunity was seized to buy Sibilli, this time, barring a last-minute blitz, the wait-and-see strategy will be chosen, perhaps to resume some discussions at more convenient conditions than the current ones.
Costantino Favasuli's potential is interesting: especially if Fabio Caserta starts again with a three-man defense, with two full-backs skilled in the double phase. The 21-year-old Fiorentina player has a right of redemption, with a counter-redemption for the Viola club. An interesting possibility for such a young full-back, who has already been in Serie B for two years. However, the dialogue with the Tuscans will be resumed at a later time, perhaps considering a loan renewal under similar conditions. Nunzio Lella and Andrija Novakovich are in the mix with Venezia: both are expiring with the Veneto club on June 30, 2026 and could be purchased for overall modest figures. Bari, however, is aiming to reduce the outlays estimated by the contractual conditions: the discussion could be successful especially for the acquisition of the midfielder from Santeramo, while the American center-forward, who scored just three goals, is less convincing.
At the moment, however, the conditions to redeem Giulio Maggiore from Salernitana are decidedly onerous, but the fate of the Campania team (at serious risk of relegation to Serie C after the defeat in the first leg of the playout) could radically change the cards on the table. Finally, there are good chances for Andrea Favilli, on loan from Genoa but his contract will expire at the end of the month: the Pisan striker could sign a two-year contract, hoping that he finds the much-desired continuity on a physical level. There are no redemption rights on the loans of Boris Radunovic from Cagliari, Valerio Mantovani from Ascoli and Nicholas Bonfanti from Pisa, but it is not certain that their adventure in Bari is at the end credits. To retain the Serbian goalkeeper, however, a considerable economic effort would be needed, as well as the guarantee of a truly ambitious program: otherwise, the goalkeeper will be destined for other shores. For Mantovani, discussions will be held with Ascoli, but only on truly convenient conditions: follies are not foreseen. Finally, Bonfanti could return on loan: despite having scored just two goals, the impression is that the potential of the 23-year-old striker has not been fully exploited.
Kevin Lasagna was expected to have an obligation to buy in the event of promotion to Serie A: Verona, who owns his contract, would be very open to discussing his return to Puglia, but the operation is really too expensive (the 32-year-old striker earns around a million in wages alone) compared to a performance that has stood at just seven goals. A right of redemption was also expected for Cesar Falletti, but the Uruguayan playmaker was the other big disappointment of the season that ended over a month ago: few flashes, many breaks, he is destined to return to Cremonese. A similar situation concerns Lorenco Simic, who arrived from Maccabi Haifa on loan and who would have become an obligation to buy under certain conditions that have not come true: the Croatian defender has been stopped by more than one physical obstacle and has not found the appropriate continuity, therefore his adventure with the Galletti can also be considered concluded. Finally, the two players loaned by Napoli: midfielder Coli Saco has proven to be a shooting star, has collected a few matches and will look for a placement that will guarantee him more continuous use. The Apulian club, on the other hand, would welcome back with open arms defender Nosa Obaretin who, however, has ended up in the sights of Cremonese and the Swiss Lugano: currently, his return seems very complicated.
At the moment, only the Belgian team Dender has exercised the option to permanently acquire the striker Aurelian Scheidler. For the rest, a mini platoon will return to Bari, waiting to know his fate. Ismael Achik did not convince in Ascoli and was not a permanent starter in Cerignola either: it is unlikely that he will be ready for the impact with the B. Filippo Faggi had more space at Gubbio, but even in his case the cadet league seems too big a step. Karlo Lulic was appreciated in Sarajevo, but not redeemed: it is not to be excluded that a discussion with the Serbian team could be reopened, just as Andrea D'Errico will look for a permanent placement, returning from the adventure in Dubai and burdened by another year of contract.
The future of the playmakers Giuseppe Sibilli and Giacomo Manzari is still to be deciphered. The first depends on Sampdoria's safety: if the Ligurians were to secure their permanence in Serie B, they could evaluate his redemption, but not at the figures imposed in the current option (900 thousand euros). The boy from Bari, on the other hand, would give everything to have another chance in his city, after a tournament in which he was not convincing either in red and white, or in his stint at Carrarese. Emmanuele Matino's experience at Cittadella is also mixed: it is unlikely that he will return to the new project. Finally, the youngsters who will return to base are Acerbi: goalkeeper Luigi Pellegrini from Fidelis Andria, defender Raffaele Natuzzi from Brindisi, Francesco Lops and Davide Colangiuli from Sorrento, Moussa Mane and Vincenzo Onofrietti from Team Altamura, Hemsley Akpa-Chkwu from Novara.
