Foggia loses its captain. Emmanuele Salines has been given the green light for his release by the arbitration board, to which the Rossoneri defender turned together with five other teammates (Silvestro, Danzi, Gala, Mazzocco, Emmausso) asking for the termination of his contract (which would have expired in 2026) after the club was put in default following the club's failure to pay his February salary by April 16. Payment was then made at the beginning of June, together with the March and April salaries.
Salines, who posted a long farewell message to the city and the fans on Instagram, has made around seventy appearances in Serie C with Foggia in the last two seasons, scoring eight goals.
Last January, the 24-year-old full-back and centre-back from Naples was pursued by Monopoli, who had offered around 250 thousand euros for his registration, but the player chose to stay in Foggia.
Now he has decided to break with the club and can leave on a free transfer. There are several clubs in Serie B and Serie C on his trail, including Monopoli and Campobasso.
