Tense atmosphere today outside the Lum University of Casamassima, where Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC, is expected. He is greeted by a strong protest banner that reads: "No to timeshare! Gravina resign! Your management... the death of football!".

A direct and unequivocal message, which reflects the discontent of a part of the organized fans, especially in Southern Italy, where the issue of multi-ownership in football continues to arouse controversy. For some time, in fact, the fans have been asking the Federation to change course on this practice, considered harmful to the transparency and fairness of the football system.

FOOTBALL OPENS UP TO THE ACADEMIC WORLD

"I am very happy that the world of football is opening up to mutual contamination, because I believe that the academic world must open up as the world of football has opened up, because through this high level training we can put together all the possible energies to create the conditions for a future for our young people, but above all a future of high specialization in the world not only of academia but also of the world of football". This was said by the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, on the sidelines of the meeting Football between sustainability, artificial intelligence and new professions, at the Lum University in Casamassina (Bari), for the closing of the high level training course in management of football clubs.

The rector of Lum, Antonello Garzoni, explained that "the goal is to think about how football is actually a driving force for education but also for the ability to think about new technologies. There is so much: there are also new patterns that one can analyze and understand thanks to artificial intelligence, one can interpret and do predictive analysis on what future behaviors may be". "Therefore - he added - there are so many ways to think about artificial intelligence in football, they are not only those connected to the interpretation of classic technologies but also, and increasingly, to the way in which, through these artificial intelligences, one can still stimulate innovation".
