Padel, the City of Pisa Trophy brings spectacle, competition and passion

Pisa, 10 June 2025 – After the great success of the first edition, the ' Trofeo Città di Pisa ' padel tournament is back with even more energy and involvement, a sporting and cultural event that will liven up the heart of the city from 29 June to 6 July. Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, one of the main city squares, will be transformed for a week into a real urban stadium, with a padel court to give life to an unprecedented sporting spectacle.

The initiative, promoted by the Pisa Padel Club (based in Asciano, in the sports center of the same name) in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa, represents a perfect example of how sport can integrate with the urban fabric, bringing citizens and tourists closer to a rapidly expanding discipline such as padel. Registration for the tournament is open to everyone from Tuesday 27 May, (maximum 16 couples for each category), with a division into three levels of play for both the men's and women's sectors, thus ensuring a balanced and engaging experience for every type of player.

The court in the square will be active for the entire week not only to host the tournament matches, but also to open its doors to those who have never had the opportunity to try this sport. During the time slots not occupied by the tournament, it will be possible to participate in trial sessions, friendly matches and lessons led by qualified FITP (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation) instructors. Special attention will be paid to children, who are approaching padel for the first time, with introductory courses designed for all ages.

The opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 29, in the presence of the city authorities and the symbolic ribbon cutting. It will be the moment that will officially start a week full of emotions, exciting competitions, new friendships and a lot of positive energy.

The field will be set up with great attention to detail to ensure safety, comfort and spectacularity. Grandstands, reception area, information point and a small hospitality area will help create a welcoming environment for athletes, families and the curious.
