Ferrara, July 23, 2025 - Italy wins another bronze medal in artistic swimming in Singapore. Filippo Pelati from Ferrara and Lucrezia Ruggiero from Rome They earned a valuable third place in the technical doubles event , scoring 228.0275 points. For the young Italian pair, this result confirms the medal they earned last June 2nd at the European Championships in Funchal, when they totaled 205.9059 points. This is clear progress and a sign of the constant technical and artistic growth of this new pair, who is taking the Italian movement ever higher.

The two athletes' perfectly synchronized movements followed the rhythm of the chosen music: "Intros 3" by Audiomachine, enriched and interpreted with choreography created by Anastasia Ermakova. The competition was of the highest level. The winners were Russians Mayya Gurbanberdieva and Aleksandr Maltsev (NAB), who competed under neutral flags, finishing with 233.2100 points, confirming their international dominance. In second place were Spain's Luna Mireia Hernandez and Dennis Gonzalez Bon with 230.4634 points, a pair that represents a benchmark for all in this discipline. Behind the Italians were England's Isabelle Thorpe and Ranjuo Tomblin, fourth with 226.0899 points, having been overtaken this time after having preceded Italy at the European Championships in June.

For Filippo Pelati, 18, originally from Lagosanto, in the province of Ferrara , the satisfaction is doubly high. Coached by Beatrice Casalini and Silvia Costa for Fiamme Oro and Uisp Bologna, and supported by the national team's technical director Patrizia Giallombardo, Pelati had already won bronze in the single freestyle earlier in the week. This new podium confirms the talent and determination of the young athlete, considered one of the brightest prospects in men's artistic swimming.

Lucrezia Ruggiero , who just turned 25, added another gem to a busy day. After starring in the preliminary round of the technical duet with Enrica Piccoli, where she achieved an excellent third place, she returned to the water a few hours later and completed this new feat. Registered with Aurelia Nuoto and Fiamme Oro, coached by Roberta Farinelli and supported nationally by Linda Cerruti and Patrizia Giallombardo, Ruggiero once again demonstrated extraordinary physical and mental management, as well as natural elegance in her movements. Their routine was not only technical, but also told a true story. With this bronze, Italy confirms its competitiveness in the world of artistic swimming and boosts its ambitions for future challenges.
