Tour de France: Another victory for Milan, Pogacar remains in yellow.

A brilliant Jonathan Milan sprinted to a victory in the 17th stage of the Tour de France, the 160.4-kilometer Bollène-Valence. This is the Lidl Trek sprinter 's second win of this edition of the Tour. With an irresistible sprint on the rain-soaked asphalt, Milan crossed the finish line ahead of Belgian Meeus of Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe and Norwegian Lund Andresen of Picnic.
Worth noting is a nasty group crash with 1km to go, fortunately without any consequences, but one of the most anticipated sprinters, Belgian Tim Merlier of Soudal Quick Step, was involved without falling.
With this victory, Milan consolidates his green jersey as leader of the points classification and aims to become the third Italian to win it after Franco Bitossi and Alessandro Petacchi. Slovenian Tadej Pogacar of Team UAE Emirates retains the yellow jersey, with a 4:15 lead over Norwegian Jonas Vingegaard of Visma Lease a Bike and a 9:03 lead over German Filipi Lipowitz of Red Bull Bora-Hansgrohe.
Today's stage was probably the last with a sprint finish, as tomorrow the decisive two-day event in the Alps begins with stage 18, the 171.5km Vif-Col de la Loze, finishing in the ski resort of Courchevel at an altitude of over 2,000 metres.
