VVD leader Yesilgöz wants to have coffee with Douwe Bob, after angry tweet about anti-Semitism

Dilan Yesilgöz wants to have a cup of coffee with Douwe Bob after her previous angry tweet. On social media she says she regrets that the singer is being threatened after prematurely ending his performance at a Jewish football event.
On X, Yesilgöz now writes: "The way Douwe Bob acted yesterday should never be a reason to threaten him. Never. And that is apparently what is happening now. But you fight words with words. Always. Threats to Douwe Bob and his family are unacceptable to me. I know better than anyone what it means to receive threats."

Douwe Bob walked away from the Jewish football event Jom Ha this weekend , where he was supposed to perform. He wanted to do so to 'connect'. But 'on the field we were confronted with a Zionist poster and pamphlets', he wrote on Facebook. The organisation regretted his departure and spoke of a misunderstanding.
Douwe Bob's Facebook post provoked many reactions, he was even threatened with death. The VVD leader reacted fiercely to her X account. Yesilgöz wrote: 'Children are denied a performance because of who they are: Jewish. (...) That's how common hatred of Jews has become. Pure hatred, in plain sight.' But today she comes up with a new message in which she invites him for coffee.
Tweet from YesilgözGroenLinks-PvdA MP Jesse Klaver then lashed out at Yesilgöz's tweet: "So eager to stoke a fire. Making harsh personal accusations and increasing division. We know this. This is the Wilders method. Irresponsible."
