Local government officials awarded. Seven from our region

This is yet another ceremony at the Presidential Palace, associated with the presentation of medals or decorations to people who manage local governments at the local level. The Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding services in activities for local government were awarded to: Andrzej Kropiwnicki, former councilor of the Warsaw City Council, and Marek Polak, councilor of the Wadowice District Council.

The Cross of Merit is a Polish civilian state decoration awarded for services to the state or citizens, established by the Act of 23 June 1923 and awarded to this day. It is divided into three degrees: the Gold Cross of Merit, the Silver Cross of Merit and the Bronze Cross of Merit. Variants of the Cross of Merit are the Cross of Merit for Bravery and the Cross of Merit with Swords. The Cross of Merit of the same degree may be awarded to the same person twice. At least 3 years must pass before the Cross of Merit of a higher degree is awarded...
