New Border Guard officers were sworn in in Gdańsk. 50 people were accepted into service, including 15 women. The next stage in their career is basic and non-commissioned officer training. The officers will be delegated to protect the Polish border on land and sea, counteract illegal migration and combat the smuggling of illegal substances.

The Border Guard is still recruiting – they are looking for people with at least secondary education, Polish citizenship and a willingness to submit to special service discipline.
The ceremony was attended by the officers' closest family members and friends. The new guards vowed to "serve faithfully the Polish Nation" and "stand steadfastly on guard for independence and sovereignty and protect the inviolability of the state border of the Republic of Poland, even at the risk of their lives."
– I am proud of myself, because it was a big step – said Wiktoria Kujawa, one of the new Border Guard officers, in an interview with TVP3 Gdańsk.
– My main goal was to defend the borders, fulfill myself in service. And for my family to be proud of me – Błażej Książek presented his motivation.
Polish-German border. Joint patrols of the Border Guard and the Military PoliceThe Border Guard announced the beginning of cooperation, which is to help better secure the Polish-German border. In mid-June of this year, patrols appeared at the Polish-German border. Officers of the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit were joined by soldiers of the Military Gendarmerie. "Joint patrols of border guards and soldiers are used in activities related to ensuring broadly understood security and maintaining public order," the release stated.
