Tusk under pressure. New poll reveals disturbing trend

The survey provides a clear picture: a staggering 54.2% of respondents believe Donald Tusk is not a good candidate for prime ministership. Of these, 40.6% answered "definitely not," and another 13.6% answered "probably not."
On the other hand, 37.2% of respondents expressed a positive assessment of his actions. Of these, 11.3% declared "definitely yes" and 25.9% declared "rather yes." 8.6% of respondents remained undecided, which is also significant in the context of potential political upheaval.
Division by political preferencesThe PiS and Konfederacja voters are the most critical of Tusk . A full 99% of Law and Justice supporters judged his actions as ineffective. A similar opinion was expressed by 97% of Konfederacja voters, demonstrating near-unanimous opposition to the PO leader among right-wing supporters.
The situation among the Civic Coalition electorate is completely different. A full 91% of its voters consider Donald Tusk an effective prime minister, reflecting strong support within their own party. However, this support is significantly lower for the other parties in the ruling coalition.
A problem within the coalition? Third Way voters' lukewarm assessmentThe most striking results are among voters of Polska 2050 and the Polish People's Party—the parties that, along with Civic Platform, form the ruling majority. Only 32% of their supporters considered Tusk an effective head of government. 39% assessed his performance negatively, and a staggering 29% chose the "don't know/hard to say" response.
Such a high percentage of undecided voters among the co-governing parties may suggest a lack of a clear message or growing disillusionment. From a political perspective, this is a worrying sign—indicating possible tensions and future shifts in voter preferences that could impact the durability of the current coalition.
The left supports it, but without enthusiasmSupporters of the Left are slightly more favorable to Donald Tusk, with 73% of them considering him an effective prime minister. While this is a clear majority, this support remains lower than that of Civic Coalition (KO) and falls short of the unanimous enthusiasm Tusk has enjoyed in the past among left-liberal circles.
Political consequencesData from the IBRiS poll show that Donald Tusk enjoys stable support among his own electorate, but his ratings among the broader voters of the ruling coalition are highly volatile. The lack of clear support among PSL and Poland 2050 voters may hinder effective governance and the implementation of coherent policies in the future, especially in the face of difficult economic and social decisions.
Worse still, the near-unanimous negative assessments among opposition voters indicate that the fight for the center of the political stage will be extremely difficult. Tusk, who has returned to national politics with the intention of rebuilding liberal democracy, will have to not only maintain coalition unity but also convince those undecided—and, as the poll shows, there is no shortage of them.
