Diamond League in Rome. Where to watch? TV broadcast and online stream

This is the fifth Diamond League meeting this year. Previously, the athletes competed in Xiamen, Shaoxing, Doha and Rabat. Now the competition is moving to the Old Continent. Two representatives of Poland will start in Rome: Weronika Lizakowska and Filip Rak. Both will run the 1500 m.

Lizakowska has already competed four times in the summer season. On May 10 in Człuchów, she improved her personal best in the 1000 m with a result of 2.38.68. On May 16, at the Diamond League meeting in Doha, she ran 1500 m in 4.10.66. A week later, during the Janusz Kusociński Memorial in Chorzów, she achieved the best result of her career in the 800 m - 2.02.10. On May 30, at the Irena Szewińska Memorial in Bydgoszcz, she ran 1500 m in 4.01.99.
The record holder and Polish champion in the 1500 m race will compete with the talented 19-year-old Ethiopian Birke Haylom, whose personal best is 3:53.22, and her compatriot Hirut Meshesha, Kenyan Susan Ejore, Frenchwoman Agathe Guillemot and British Katie Snowden. All of these athletes have better results than Lizakowska. The women's 1500 m race will start at 22:49 and will be the last competition of the meeting.
Rak started the season by breaking his personal best in the 600 m - 1.18.63. Then, like Lizakowska, he participated in the Kusociński and Szewińska memorials. In Chorzów he ran 800 m in 1.46.64, and in Bydgoszcz 1500 m in 3.35.22.
In the indoor season, the 22-year-old won two gold medals at the national championships and in the summer he will also fight for the title of the best Polish runner in the 1,500 m distance.
In Rome, the favorite in the 1500 m race will be Olympic vice-champion Timothy Cheruiyot. The Kenyan has won the Diamond League general classification four times in his career. Others competing at the Stadio Olimpico include his compatriot Brian Komen, European indoor vice-champion Azeddine Habz from France, Australian Oliver Hoare and Briton Elliot Giles.
The 400 m runners will include the fastest runner this year, Zakithi Nene from South Africa, three-time Olympic medalist Kirani James from Grenada and indoor world champion Alexander Doom from Belgium.
The hosts are counting on Gianmarco Tamberi in the high jump. The Italian's main rivals will be the Olympic champion, New Zealander Hamish Kerr, and the indoor world champion, Korean Sanghyeok Woo.
