Football. Pogoń Szczecin has started preparations for the new season

On Tuesday, the preparations for the new season began for the players of the top league Pogoń Szczecin, divided into two groups. Some of the players have already undergone medical examinations and fitness tests, and on Wednesday they will conduct their first training under the supervision of coach Robert Kolendowicz. The remaining players will have their examinations and tests on Wednesday, and the first joint training of the entire team will take place on Thursday.
We don't know yet what line-up the Porters will play in in the new season, and the club has only officially announced the acquisition of Spanish midfielder José Pozo from Śląsk Wrocław, which has been relegated to the first league. The list of those leaving is longer: Kacper Łukasiak, Marcel Wędrychowski (both GKS Katowice), Antoni Klukowski (Widzew Łódź), Rafał Kurzawa, Olaf Korczakowski, Mariusz Malec, Luizão and Benjamín Rojas. As you can see, of the players acquired in the winter by Nilo Effori, who was president for a few days, only Renyer remains, who played only a few minutes in the third league reserve team and suffered an injury that eliminated him from training for several months. Other clubs that have offers include: Efthýmis Kouloúris (Dynamo Moscow, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahçe Istanbul and Union Berlin), Adrian Przyborek (Fenerbahçe Istanbul, Galatasaray Istanbul and Aresenal London) and Leonárdo Koútris (Lech Poznań).
In an interview posted on the Szczecin club's website, general director Tan Kesler said that Pogoń intends to acquire 4 or 5 valuable players, but did not give a specific answer to the question of whether Efthýmis Kouloúris, who was not among the first group of players undergoing tests and examinations on Tuesday, will remain in Szczecin.
- Due to the good contacts of our owner in Greece, we are in talks with an interesting player from that country, whose name you already know (Josua Mejías or Theocharis Tsingaras - note mij) and we are very close to signing a contract with him - said T. Kesler.
- We are also talking to other players whose names have appeared in the media. We talked to Maik Nawrocki from Celicu Glasgow, we had talks with Luquinhas. We are very close to signing Mora Ndiaye. I can tell our fans that all the players we are talking to and who will come to us are chosen by me, by Alex Haditaghi and our coach Robert Kolendowicz. (mij)
