Iga Świątek has problems. A foreign journalist has made a strong claim

The last three editions of the Grand Slam tournament in Paris have been three triumphs for Iga Świątek. The Pole set the bar very high, which she will certainly want to beat again in the 2025 season. Especially since the Polish tennis player came to the capital of France not as a leader, and not even as a vice-leader of the WTA ranking.
"Daily Mail" about Iga Świątek. Strong words about the role of Daria AbramowiczThe ranking position is not the biggest concern for the Polish player, however. Świątek has not won a single tournament since she lifted the trophy for winning Roland Garros 2024. It is hard to believe, but in fact, the Polish player has played 13 tournaments and only made it to the final once.
In the 2025 season, Świątek played in the semifinals of the Grand Slam Australian Open, narrowly losing to the eventual winner, American Madison Keys.
Not only Polish media, but also foreign media, are noticing that Świątek has problems. Although maybe it's not so much a matter of "problems" as simply of the increasingly pressing competition. The rivals have learned to compete with the Pole, and some of them have managed to surpass the dominator of the world tennis arena in recent years.
The Polish team is taking a beating for the lack of success and nervousness evident in Świątek's behavior on the court during matches. One of the most well-known figures there is undoubtedly Daria Abramowicz, a psychologist.
"Speaking of team support, where is psychologist Daria Abramowicz in all this? The 37-year-old has been a member of the team since Świątek was 17. She travels around with Świątek all the time and sits in her cubicle - highly unusual for a psychologist. Their relationship is much more like that of friends than psychologist and patient, and given that, is she really the best person to help Świątek now?" wrote Matthew Lambwell, tennis writer for the Daily Mail.
Andy Roddick, a legendary tennis player from years ago, has recently come to the defense of the Polish player. However, the situation related to Świątek is becoming increasingly tense. Now, there is certainly a lot of pressure on the shoulders of the Polish player, considering that in recent years she has been considered the "Queen of Paris". The question remains unanswered as to how the player herself will overcome this gigantic challenge that she faces.
Lambwell's article in the Daily Mail also includes a comparison of Świątek to Jannik Sinner, who is returning to the courts. Compared to Poland, the Italian player seems to be in a completely different position than the former world number one, who has her own problems.
Iga Świątek and all her championship titlesIn her career so far, the Polish player has won a total of 22 championship titles on courts almost all over the world.
Świątek has won five Grand Slam titles, four times at Roland Garros (2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and once at the US Open (2022). In addition, she won the prestigious WTA Finals (2023).
In addition, wins in WTA 1000 tournaments, respectively in: Rome (2021, 2022, 2024), Doha (2022 and 2024), Indian Wells (2022 and 2024), Miami (2022), Beijing (2023) and Madrid (2024).
The list also includes WTA 500 competitions, in Adelaide (2021), Stuttgart (2022 and 2023), San Diego (2022) and the aforementioned Doha (2023). Plus a Polish accent, WTA 250 in Warsaw (2023).
After the Olympic tournament in Paris (2024), the bronze medal of the games should be added to this list. The first medal in the history of Polish Olympism drawn from competition on tennis courts.
