Who was the Formula Truck driver who died in a Camaro accident?
In racing circles, he was known as Marcio Limestone, precisely because he was the director of Limestone Mineração. The company, based in Rio Branco do Sul, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio Grande do Sul, expressed its condolences on social media.
"Márcio was an exemplary leader, whose strategic vision, tireless dedication, and integrity profoundly marked the trajectory of Limestone Brasil Mineração. His work was essential to the sustainable growth and consolidation of our company, leaving a legacy that will remain as a reference for all of us. In this time of immense sadness, we express our solidarity with his family, friends, and all who shared in his journey. We express our eternal gratitude for his story, contribution, and legacy," the publication states.

The accident occurred on the Minérios Highway. Roberto Cardoso, an aide to a city councilor, was a passenger in the Camaro and also died in the accident. The driver of the other car, Guilherme Rocha, was rescued alive but died during medical treatment.
The three were residents of Almirante Tamandaré.
Marcio was a native of the neighboring city of Colombo . He was 41 years old and was also nicknamed "Piolho."
His wake began on Sunday night (13), at the Nossa Senhora do Rosário Chapel, in Colombo, and the burial is scheduled for 4:30 pm this Monday (14), at the chapel's Parish Cemetery.

Márcio was a Formula Truck driver — a category of Brazilian motorsport that features high-performance trucks.
He competed in the Electronic GT Truck category and was a well-known figure in Brazilian sports circles. In this year's Brazilian competition, he placed 20th out of 35 drivers.
In a statement, Fórmula Truck lamented the driver's death.
"The pain is deep, but even greater is the gratitude for everything he represented on and off the track. A fierce competitor, a loyal friend, and an unforgettable figure in our history. We miss him immensely, but the honor of having shared the track with him will be eternal. Our condolences to his family, friends, team, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him," the message reads.
Marcio Limestone's team also spoke out on the driver's own social media.
"More than a driver, Piolho was a loyal friend, a giant heart on wheels, and a remarkable presence on every track he passed. His joy, his unique way of life, and his passion for motorsports left a deep mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. To the friends, family, and fans who have sent messages of support and affection, our most sincere gratitude. May each good memory help ease the pain of this difficult time. We will carry on the legacy he built with so much love and dedication. Forever in our hearts," the post reads.
